Guidance for system wide approaches to reduce health inequalities
Reducing health inequalities requires a system wide approach. These guidance papers show ways of how to support local action, as well as how to adopt a health in all policies approach.
Children and young people
These evidence reviews and briefings provide a focus on children and young people, including topics such as: good quality parenting, building young people’s resilience in schools and reducing the number of young people not in employment or training and improving the home to school transition.

These resources help local commissioners achieve value for money in their public health programming approach.
Healthy places
The healthy places team has a number of resources in their homes for health collection page, which provide plans, advice, and guidance about the relationship between health and the home. There is also guidance on health and green spaces, cold homes and how to use planning principles to improve health and reduce health inequalities.
Inclusion health
These resources focus on inclusion health groups, which are often the most marginalised groups in England - vulnerable migrants, gypsies and travellers, homeless people and sex workers.

Prevention and early treatment
This guidance outlines public health interventions that can improve the health of the population and reduce health and care service demand when applied at sufficient scale and orientated to reducing health inequalities.

These evidence reviews and briefings focus on work, health and inclusive growth with topics such as: increasing employment opportunities, improving health through workplace interventions, the promotion of good quality work and using the Social Value Act to improve health outcomes.
